Indo Western Drape: Summer Lookbook

Summer outfit styling is really tricky. When the temperature rises the inner Fashionista starts to lose the battle against the comfort. The only thing that matters is soft fabric and ease. Indian outfits are outstanding, but when we add a pinch of western in it, the magnificent look is created. For me, latest trends are important but I won’t follow it until it suits my personality and makes me feel comfortable. I don’t want to just wear something to look cool while I am super uncomfortable with the silhouette or the work on the fabric.

For a casual get together or an evening party an Indo western drape looks so chic. The options are unlimited in the market. It comes up with a Top/Blouse, Palazzo/Pants with a stitched Dupatta/Pallu to drape. You can even create this look using your western wear along with a Dupatta. Recreating Anushka Sharma Look This Raksha Bandhan

Rakhsha Bandhan is around the corner, but what to wear this year is something really hard to be answered. Most women prefer Indian ethnic wear for such occasions, but that would be too mainstream. So, I decided to do something with a silk scarf and my super comfy western dresses. When I looked at my shirt dress and scarf, the first thing that crossed my mind was Anushka Sharma’s Glam look at London Fashion Week. I do remember her look because I loved her look a lot. All it took was a google and keywords to find that look for me and I decided to recreate it without any second thoughts. Continue reading “Recreating Anushka Sharma Look This Raksha Bandhan”

How To Slay Trench Coat This Season

Monsoon is the best time to slay your trench coat. You can team it up with your bodycon dress for a bold look, or just wear it with your favourite skinny jeans for the chic look. Trench coat looks really classy with heels. When it comes to the longer outer wear instead of flats, one should always go for the heels. But again, comfort lovers can go with a pair of white sneakers, for a casual look. But, Heels do add that extra edge to the look, a nice handbag can do the rest of the trick. Skincare Tips For Monsoon

I am a real pluviophile. I love to go out on a rainy day. But, in all of this we neglect our skin and health. When the weather turns cold, we stop drinking enough water that can lead to dehydration. Even if you are not feeling that hot, one must always drink 2.7 – 3 liters of water in a day. Because of humidity our hair stays moist for longer, that leads to the bad odor. It can be avoided by Regular hair wash and oiling. The humidity could open the pores of the skin, the regular use of the toner can rescue your skin from the damage. Guide To Slay Indo Western Saree Look

Indo western is my favorite kind of the look. The saree over the legging or dhoti is just unbeatable. No matter the occasion, you are never overdressed or underdressed with an Indo Western outfit. When it comes to a saree I am really doubtful about carrying myself in that, but draping a dupatta over a legging like a saree is way too comfortable and light. It makes a perfect summer chic outfit. It is easy to carry and you look like a diva in it. All it takes is a pair of heels to slay any kind of occasion.

Hair Rebonding Truth: Based On 5 Rebondings Done!

The myths related to hair rebonding are unlimited. Before I start pointing out the myths, I would like to proudly declare that I have got 5 rebondings done already. Yes! Five Rebondings, and I regret none. I had a strong, heavy and long hair when I first got it done. The reason behind it was my too heavy hair and too little time to get dressed as a teenager. The silky smooth, shiny hair was a great temptation at that age, so I went with the flow and got it done. When I got my first rebonding done my first reactions was wow! My hair looked no more dull or dry, hair were really shiny and smooth to touch. I couldn’t be happier and when I realized I won’t have to put so much effort in managing, that feeling is so satisfying. Continue reading “Hair Rebonding Truth: Based On 5 Rebondings Done!”

Skin And Hair Care Tips For Holi

Holi is India’s most vibrant festival and it’s almost here. In few areas people have already started to enjoy this colourful festival and I couldn’t wait for the March 2nd to celebrate the Holi. When it comes to the festivals, I love all of them, but Holi is my all time favourite. I have been enjoying it to the fullest since my childhood. But getting the rid of the colours used to be the real task.

The colours could be really harsh on the skin and hair. You have to take care of yourself before and after the celebration. Don’t forget to moisturise your skin and oil your hair before you get lost in the beauty of the colours. Every year, oiling my hair before I was allowed to go out in the colours has been a part of my festival routine. By the time I grew up, I realised the actual importance of all those habits. Use of the petroleum gel to the gram flour, I actually realised all of these are, the easier hacks and the home remedies, that are just unbeatable. Continue reading “Skin And Hair Care Tips For Holi”
